Creating art has been enjoyable, theraputic, and a way to share who I am and what I enjoy. My family, friends and mentors have been very supportive, and I'm thankful.
This site was started as a way to share my enthusiasm for creating fiber art quilts. Having attended the International Quilt Festival in Houston for many years it was not until late 2006 and after a difficult illness that I decided to start making art quilts. I’ve immensely enjoyed the process and am still finding my way in the fiber art world while trying different techniques.
Thus far, I tend to gravitate toward bright vibrant colors, nature and architecture for my original designs. I especially enjoy making meaningful art that draws me close to my family such as depicting my grandfather's home in Mexico in "El Rancho de los Comaleros" and my grandmother's portrait taken from her green card in "Green Card Garden".
